Seat Types Available

We stock three seat types so every child rides safely, matched to age and weight:

Infant rear-facing seats — for babies under 1 year old and under 20 lbs. Designed for newborns and small infants, installed rear-facing for maximum protection.

Convertible seats — for toddlers roughly 1 to 4 years old. Used forward-facing, these seats fit children who have outgrown the infant carrier but aren’t ready for a booster.

Booster seats — for kids roughly 4 to 8 years old. Boosters lift your child so the vehicle’s seat belt sits correctly across their chest and lap.

Tell us your child’s age when you book and we’ll have the right seat installed. Riding with more than one child? Request one seat per child — just list all the ages.

How to Request a Child Seat

Requesting is simple and takes seconds:

2. Enter your child’s age in the passenger or special-notes field of the booking form.
3. That’s it. Our dispatch assigns the correct seat type based on the age you provide.

No Extra Charge — Ever

Child safety seats are included with your JFK Airport Shuttle ride at no extra fee. Unlike some services that charge $10–$20 per seat, we treat car seats as part of the ride. The price you see at booking is the price you pay.

New York State Child Seat Law

New York State law requires that children under age 4 must ride in a child safety seat, and children under age 8 must be in an appropriate child restraint system (seat or booster). While taxis and for-hire vehicles have limited exemptions under the law, we encourage every family to request a proper seat for each child — it’s free, and it’s the safest choice.
